Ian Hecox is an American internet personality, actor, and comedian. He is the son of Stephan Andrew Hecox and Sharon Hecox.
Ian’s father Stephen worked in public accounting. Ian’s father and his mother Sharon Hecox, often appeared in his videos. The YouTuber has a sister named Melissa and a brother named Adrian.
Ian is best known as one of the co-founders and members of the popular YouTube comedy duo known as “Smosh.” Alongside his creative partner Anthony Padilla, they started posting comedy sketches on YouTube in 2005, which gained significant popularity and helped establish the Smosh brand.
Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla’s comedic videos on Smosh covered a wide range of subjects, including parodies of movies, video games, and pop culture. They became one of the earliest YouTube sensations and accumulated millions of subscribers and views on their channel.
